Dr.Apio Kevin Patience

Apio Kevin Patience is an enthusiastic young doctor with a great zeal of dedication to patient centered care.She is collaborative and hardworking with strong interpersonal, leadership, clinical and organizational skills.She enjoys event planning and poetry .She is passionate about mental health advocacy, entrepreneurship, paediatrics and health research. She was Chairperson Organizing committee for the first ever Adolescent Mental Health Conference in secondary schools held in Uganda . She also volunteers at the Makerere Mulago Adolescent Clinic and while dealing with children and adolescents, she is driven by the wise words of Rita Pearson that “every child deserves a champion- an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be " and she hopes to steer them towards a journey of health and success.
She is an Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Alumni, a committed member of Federation of African Medical Students’ Association (FAMSA) and served as the Chairperson Standing Committee on Medical Education and Research (FAMSA SCOMER) in the 2020/2021 tenure. She was also Chairperson Logistics; organizing committee for the 34th FAMSA General Assembly and Scientific Conference that took place in Mbarara , Uganda. She is a recipient of the Junior Scholar Conference Travel Award at the 4th Annual Conference on Child Behavioral Health in Sub Saharan Africa awarded by Washington University in St. Louis.
